Adobe Flash


Adobe Flash is a multimedia software platform used for production of animations, rich Internet applications, desktop applications, mobile applications, mobile games and web browser video players. Flash displays text, vector graphics and raster graphics to provide animations, video games and applications. It allows streaming of audio and video, and can capture mouse, keyboard, microphone and camera input.





It was very interesting as well as challenging because the content in this software is easy and interesting but in order to make the animation even for a small duration of time, it consumed lots of time. If we can spend good amount of time in making flash for animation then we can create any kind of animation by using flash. By using flash I have created the animation of man walking.

It was really interesting and easy, at the same time I felt it very useful because we can process to create complex animation if we are interested to do. We can also use it in the class to make it more interesting and to gain attention from the student. Animation is a powerful tool used in planet. In the 
learning and development world, animation needs to deliver information as efficiently and effectively as possible to ensure the audience.

Reflection 3


Powerpoint presentation


My next reflection is on Microsoft PowerPoint. This technology is equitable in use since it can be used for a variety of reasons. It can be used for presentations for lesson plans, projects, a visual representation, portfolios and much more. PowerPoint meets the flexibility in use of variety of choices with contrasting themes of PowerPoint. Each theme has a different set of designed color options or sometimes even graphics. It also gives you choices of which style of slides you want to add each time.

 I believe the design is simple and intuitive since it provides an easy design to follow with visible tools to help assist you in creating your presentation. The tools are overall self-explanatory but if you find trouble in finding a tool, we can search for it in the toolbar the software provides. The software is designed to be of little maintenance of making a simple presentation. This technology is computer based and therefore does not meet the principle of size and space for approach and use.  

As I look back on my presentation and the preparation that when into it. I am amazed by the amount I’ve learned from this one small exercise. This was my first proper presentation in a long time. Therefore I didn’t have much practice presenting in the last few year and had to do a lot of work preparing for it. Although there was a lot of work in preparing for this exercise, improvements can always be made.

Before I started this exercise I really didn’t know the amount of work that would go into a presentation. I thought I could put together a presentation in 20 minutes and look over it once and be ready to present it. I now know that this isn’t realistic if you want to make a good presentation. My slide show alone took nearly an hour to decide what was going to go into it and make it. I then had to look over it and look into things I was going to say during each slide as the slides contained only small bullet points that needed to be further explained. I definitely found that to make a presentation on a topic the presenter must have an interest and a great knowledge of the topic.

Power point is one of the effective teaching and learning tools, it helps us to learn in our self-paced through various tools such as assignments, computer etc. as a result the teaching and learning become more productive and meaningful. Powerpoint allows us to create with activities such as Flash cards, Field Trip Slideshows, Group Slideshows, students’ portfolios etc….I have done some animation by using powerpoint for that just click on the link below.

Reflection 2




Reflection 2

Compare to our olden days, learning has changed a lot because of the advancement of the technology. Where teacher can use different methods to teach students. One of the method that we can teach students is by using Camtasia studio. Camtasia studio is two products in one, the screen recorder and video maker and editor. Before I was introduced to camtasia but I didn’t use it as I didn’t have any idea about it. After learning and using Camtasia software, I had used it and I noticed that it is much easier to use.

In Camtasia studio, we can record our voice by clicking the record button. We can import video or pictures from our computer and edit it using the features of Camtasia. Our module tutor taught Camtasia using demonstration method and lecture method. While learning we came across the merits and demerits of Camtasia. It is also useful for making presentation interactive and fun learning. We were asked to download software from the Chrome.

Later we were asked to do assignment on the topic related to the ICT and Math. As I have chose Math topic ‘Bisecting angle’. First we were asked to design a lesson plan on power point. Later we used Camtasia on the assignment that we have done on the power point. We have to make video of the presentation using our audio. First I found little complicated to use Camtasia as we have to record our own voice using presentation.


As a future teacher, I can use this concept in the teaching and learning context as teaching learning materials and I think it can help students understand better and make teaching and learning interesting. Moreover, the students can be motivated and become active an active learner.
